The first of Professor Martin's graduate students to receive their Ph.D.s were Ellen M. Taylor and Minwei Wu in May 2007 at Princeton University. Dr. Taylor's thesis research was on "Linearly and Nonlinearly Optimized WENO Methods for Compressible Turbulence," and Dr. Wu's thesis work was on "Direct Numerical Simulation of Shockwave and Turbulent Boundary Layer Interactions."
